M255DW
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have been a long time proponent of HP products, especially laser printers.  I have been through the support process and had in my possession 3 different M255dw printers, all with the same (but to varying degrees) printing defect.  The text/images do not print square to the page even from the internal alignment pages.  The rotation from top to bottom can almost be 2mm.  While not noticeable printing basic text or single sided, images are quite noticeable and duplex prints and makes prints where cutting is necessary is a near impossible.  This is really noticeable on trifold style documents or narrow margin documents.

Figuring this was a defect with the 255, I went to my local office supply and ran the alignment page prints from 4 different models including the M479.  To my absolute astonishment, NONE of them could print square to the page edge.  This will seriously tarnish HP's reputation as more people find out.

Thankfully support is refunding my purchase price but sadly I had to purchase another brand of printer that prints square on the page.  I fear though seeing as L2 support said this is the first he's heard of it, it will not be brought to the attention of the correct people to correct such a major, wide-spread problem so I am writing here in hopes to get in contact with the necessary people.  Does anyone have such a contact outside of product support?

I work for a large HP partner and I would have to say that our experience with thousands of 400 level devices does not mirror what you have found and I wonder if some environmental issue such as humidity is causing an issue. I am also curious about the media you were feeding. I am not trying to minimize your experience but it is so drastically out of step with what we see on a daily basis here, I would like a better understanding of what is going on.
