I have forgotten my printer password. I cannot find any instructions regarding this that seem to work. Everything I have tried needs a password -- which is the problem. I do not remember it. Help!!

I reviewed the case regarding issues with the printer.

 

I will be delighted to assist you here. 

 

Goto settings and network, select defaults. This should reset the network settings.

It didn't work as everything I tried required the forgotten password. However, I finally was able to find a real HP person to help. The answer was fairly simple but was not in any manual.
1) Turn off printer.
2. Turn back on printer and as soon as you see a message pop up, hold the left-hand corner near the question mark on the touch pad screen.
3. Hold that corner of the touch pad screen until a new message pops up (took 2 full minutes with my printer), then let go. It should be reset now. 

 

I appreciate your help. That forgotten password kept getting in my way and I was VERY frustrated.
