HP LaserJet Pro MFP M127fn
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hey.

I've  a HP LaserJet Pro MFP M127fn printer to use at my company. I cannot remember the password and need to change some of the network settings.

How can I reset or change the admin password on my printer?

Jack

Thank You

Hi! @CuongPham, Welcome to HP forums.

I understand you would like to know how to reset the network settings on your printer.

Don't worry I'd like to help you out.

Did you make any changes to your printer?

Please try the steps recommended below to perform a factory reset on your printer.

Restoring the factory-set defaults returns all of the product and network settings to the factory defaults. It
will not reset the page count, tray size, or language. To restore the product to the factory-default settings,
follow these steps.

CAUTION: Restoring the factory-set defaults returns all of the settings to the factory defaults, and it also
deletes any pages that are stored in the memory.

1. From the product control panel, press the Setup button.
2. Open the Service menu.
3. Select the Restore Defaults option, and then touch the OK button.
The product automatically restarts

Refer the printer user guide to know more information.

Let me know if this helps!

Have a great day! 🙂

Hi Mr. Robot,

I have a similar problem. LaserJet Pro MFP M477fdw has a password. Username and password are long forgotten. In order to reset it to factory settings, it needs the password. I'm going in circles. Please help.
