Today the printer stopped working through the network. No errors on the display. I reset it and the IP address it is assigning is not even in my network. I did a manual IP address and I can ping the printer but it cannot be found by any of the computers when trying to install, so I did a manual install on 2 different computers and when I try to print a test page the dialog box just says error.

Please try Peer to Peer Network(take RJ 45 cable, connect one end to printer and other end to PC), setup manual IP Address and check, if you are able to open EWS page using IP Address.
If you are able to open EWS Page, then the Network Card is functioning properly. If you are unable to open EWS Page, then there is possibility of hardware issue.

With regards to the pinging happening on your manual IP Address which you mentioned, please disconnect the cable and then ping & check. If the ping is not happening, then there is no duplication of IP Address.

I connected the cable and cannot open en EWS page I also tried to ping the printer and got not response.

I also connected the printer via USB cable and I can get it to print that way.

You may keep using printer on USB for now. However, in order to get the Network issue resolved, you may have to contact HP Customer Care support and get Formatter Replaced (incase, if Network Port issue has not resolved).

In reading your post not sure on how you reset but it is possible the ip address was lost on the printer and so other item on the network grabbed the address which is the reason you could ping the address and get a reply. Suggest you perform a NVRAM reset with the network cable connected and when the printer comes to ready, wait about 2 minutes and then print a config or network page to see what settings the printer obtained. In the address is someting like 169.xxx.xxx.xxx that would indicate the network card is not functioning or there is no connectivity between the network card and the switch or router in which case check the lights on the card and the switch to see if you maybe need to change cable or port. If you get an address within your network frame, type that address into the web browser and make any changes you want and reload the printer with a new ip address. NVRAM reset procedure is below:

NVRAM initialization
CAUTION: All network settings are also reset. Be sure to print a configuration page before performing
an NVRAM initialization. Make note of the IP address that is listed on the configuration page. You need
to restore the IP address after performing an NVRAM initialization.
Performing an NVRAM initialization resets the following settings and information:
● All menu settings are reset to factory default values.
● All localization settings, including language and country/region, are reset.
After performing an NVRAM initialization, reconfigure any computers that print to this product so that
the computers can recognize the product.
Perform an NVRAM initialization
1. Turn the product off.
2. Simultaneously press the Right arrow button and the X button. Keep these buttons depressed
as you turn the product on.
3. When Permanent storage init. appears on the display, release both buttons.
4. When the product has finished the NVRAM initialization, it returns to the Ready state.
