1. Problem: after powering on printer, never leaves Initializing status on display; no response from any of control panel buttons.
2. Error started just after connecting printer to new wireless router.
3. Cannot make copies directly from printer--no response from any of control panel buttons.
4. Can still print files wirelessly from my computer, even as printer display reads "Initializing."
5. Called HP support and did the unplugging, followed by failed reset attempts (including X + Right Arrow factory reset). No effect.
Thank you.

Good Day. A warm welcome to the HP community. I reviewed the case regarding issues with the printer. I will be delighted to assist you here.
follow these steps to reset the printer.
Once the printer is turned off, remove the cartridge's from the printer.
Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.
Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
Wait at least 60 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
NOTE:
HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to the wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
The printer might go through a warm-up period. The printer lights might flash, and the carriage might move.
Wait until the warm-up period finishes and your printer is idle and silent before you proceed.
Keep me posted. 🙂
