We've had this printer for a long time - long before I started working at this company. I have changed the ink cartridges many times without any issue. However, today I replaced the Cyan cartridge and now the printer won't print any cyan even though it reads the cartridge as being 100% full. I've pulled it out to make sure I didn't leave any of the random tabs in by mistake, I've restarted the printer, tried printing from multiple computers...and I can't figure out why no cyan is printing. With each print, there's a black smudge at the top of the paper as well, even though I've gone in and cleaned a few times. This may or may not be related.

I assumed you pulled the toner dam plastic strip. If you did suggest you go to the diagnostics menu and choose the item disable cartridge check. When the printer says ready, diagnostics mode, open the toner door and swap the black and cyan toners. Now run a config page and see if the cyan or black is missing. If the cyan is still missing, then the toner cartridge is defective and you need to have it replaced. If the cyan is working and the black is missing, then you have an issue with the cyan slot and you may need to have service performed.

Thanks for the tip! It was indeed a faulty cartridge. All switched out and running perfectly now!

Why do cartridges HP364 not work in my Photosmart 7520. This printer is listed on the cartridge's box, and it fits perfectly.

I've used cartridge 564 no problem, but the store no longer carries them.
