R206 seems to be severely evaporized by the thunder, and R91 doesn't really look healthy either, but is it more probable that the board itself has damaged such that it's not worth the while trying to fix it?
I'm an embedded SW designer from Finland, and I've nothing to do with HP - other than buying HP products every now and then for my personal use.

Started a new thread, because the original problem was solved. The blank display was caused by electrical damage.
Sorry, people, I shouldn't have continued it here after marking the original problem as solved. I apologize.
