DeskJet 2132
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I just took my HP2132 out of the box and went through set-up but it won't print. The cogs whirr to take the paper, then the paper button (the piece of paper with a down arrow) starts flashing.

Once I press that there's more whirring and then sometimes eventually it takes a piece of paper and just spit it out the bottom with nothing printed on it.

At other times the red light by the paper icon just flashes again, and the power button flashes too.  When I check the printer log on my laptop it says 'Error-Printing'.

Doe anyone have any suggestions about how to troubleshoot this? I can't call customer services here as I'm in China and don't speak enough Mandarin.

Many thanks!

If it is a brand new printer and you can get to the place where you purchased it then I would consider returning it.

Most HP printers have some built-in test Pages, can you print any of the built-in pages?

Thanks! I've takenyour advice and in doing so noticed a crack in the casing, which the supplier has agreed is courier damage so I'm sending it back today.

Thanks for taking the time to reply, I appreciate it.
