Hi @joearluck,

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your new printer is connected via a cable, jobs appear in the print queue, but nothing is printing. Let’s go through some steps to check what could be causing this.

Check the printer status
– Make sure the printer is turned on, the display shows “Ready,” and there are no error lights.
– If it’s showing offline, set it to Online in Devices and Printers.

Verify the cable connection
– Ensure the USB or Ethernet cable is fully seated on both ends.
– Try a different USB port or cable if possible.

Clear and restart the print queue
– Open the print queue on your PC and cancel all pending jobs.
– Turn off the printer, wait 30 seconds, and turn it back on.

Set the correct printer as default
– Go to Settings → Devices → Printers & scanners.
– Ensure your new printer is selected as the default printer.

Check driver installation
– Confirm that the full HP driver for your printer model is installed, not just a basic driver.
– If needed, download the latest driver from HP’s official website and reinstall.

Print a test page from the printer
– Use the printer’s control panel to print a test page.
– This helps determine if the issue is the printer or the PC connection.

Restart your PC
– Sometimes restarting the computer after installing drivers ensures proper communication with the printer.

I hope this helps.
