Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Turn ON NFC on your mobile device:

  1. From Home screen, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
  2. Navigate: Settings Settings icon > Connections > NFC and payment.
  3. Tap the NFC switch (upper-right) to turn on Switch on

The HP ePrint mobile app (versions 2.5 and later) for Android supports NFC touch-to-print.

  1. Verify that your mobile device supports NFC. Look for an NFC icon  on the device, underneath the back cover, or near the battery.

If there is not an NFC icon, your mobile device does not support NFC.

  2. Download the HP ePrint mobile app from the Google Play Store, if it is not already installed.

  3. On your mobile device, tap the HP ePrint mobile app.

  4. Depending on what you want to print, tap Photos, File, or Web, and then tap the item you want to print.

  5. On the front of the printer, locate the NFC touch zone, indicated by the NFC icon .

  6. Hold the mobile device to the NFC touch zone on the printer until your printer displays in the HP ePrint window, and then tap Print.

The printer prints the document, photo, or webpage.

Alternatively, use HP Smart app if HP ePrint does not help you.

Hello Kumar037, Thanks for the attention, my mobile phone has NFC enabled, I was an older version of Hp-eprint, and it worked but very slow, through the Hp Smart I can not print by NFC only by network, because when I put the phone next to the printer it asks if I want to connect the network, I say yes and it does not do anything else, if you put the cell phone back in the same place. Now why does not the Hp-eprint appear in the playstore? I just managed to install by going to google and looking for the older version.

  • If you already have an HP ePrint app installed on your mobile device you can use the same to print via NFC which may work.
  • Unfortunately, HP ePrint app has been discontinued and no longer available in play store.
  • For touch-to-print to work, the NFC radio on both the mobile device and the printer must be turned on. When touching the device to the printer, sometimes the NFC antenna in the mobile device and printer do not align and they fail to communicate. Try to rotate the mobile device slightly, and then hold the mobile device to NFC touch zone again.
  • Refer to this document for more info.
  • Try to use HP Smart app. Open the HP Smart app > Choose the document/photo you want to print > Hold the mobile device to the NFC zone on the printer > tap Print

Good afternoon,

After analyzing some answers I managed to put the NFC to work, but by Smart Hp definitely can not, I managed to work by downloading an older version of HP ePrint.
Anyone with the same problem can use this solution, because with HP Smart, the only thing that does and if I want to connect the network and that's it.
Thanks a lot for the help.
