Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, I have an old hp printer: Laserjet M1522nf. When I turn it on, I don't see anything on the screen. I hear the turn on noise. Unable to print. When it is wired on with the computer and I do diagnostic with HP Doctor, it says the printer is found but when I try to fix the problem, it says printer is not connected with the computer. It did not work even after replacing printer cable. Tried turning on and off even directly, no surge protector, on the wall yet nothing happens. Before completely showing nothing on the screen, it used to blink and able to print but now the display is completely dead. What is the best solution? Thanks

I suspect the formatter is bad (CC368-60001), but let's see if the printer can do an engine test. This should help ensure the basic printer is working:

Engine test page
1. Turn the product power on and wait for a few minutes.
2. Rapidly open and then close the print-cartridge door five times.
CAUTION: Do not forcibly close the door to prevent damaging the door latches.
TIP: Depress and hold down the print-cartridge door button to prevent the door latches from engaging. Open the door far enough to activate the door open sensor, and then fully close the door.
3. An engine test page should print.

If it doesn't print, is may still be a bad formatter, but you could have an issue with the power supply not working correctly.
