My CM1415 printer is suddenly giving me a paper jam message but there is no jam. I've checked all possible locations for a jam, reset the machine multiple times and while it resets, it won't pick up the paper from the tray. I can hear it trying but it finally just defaults to the Jam in Tray 1 message again. Any ideas?

Just to clarify, is this the pull out tray? If so, likely the pickup roller is worn and needs to be replaced.

It is most likely your pickup/feed roller is worn out. I replace these for my customers all the time. But, you should also check your paper cassette tray and make sure the paper guides are all set correctly. There should be little detents that they click into so that they're not too tight or loose on the paper.
Yes, you can replace the roller yourself. You can also take the roller out and reposition the rubber on it to an unused section to get more life out of it as well. There are several part numbers for this roller and roller kit. Below are some links:
Feed Roller:
RM1-4426-000CN, RM1-8047-030CN, RM1-8047-000CN
Separation Roller:
RM1-8765-000CN, RM1-4425-000CN
Feed Roller Kit (both feed and separation roller):
CC430-67901
To replace the roller, you have to access the Secondary Service Menu
Here are the instructions with a video link below as well.
1. From the Home screen on the printer control panel, touch the Setup (Gear icon) button.
2. Touch the space between the Home and Help buttons, (the left navigation button) & hold it down while you press the Cancel (lower right side of screen) button then release both.
3. Touch the Back button.
4. Touch the Setup (Gear icon) button again and you should see the 2ndary Service menu now.
5. Scroll to and touch the 2ndary Service menu.

I have occasionally seen the separation roller become too slick or begin to develop flat spots. Either has been the cause of paper jams, that's why I always replace both the pickup/feed and separation roller at the same time so as to prevent jams so soon after replacing the main roller. It's just good practice for optimum reliability.
