Hello,
I have a HP Laser Jet M281cdw and recently I was able to print purple and now I see a blue like color. Magenta and Cyan are relatively new. What may be causing this issue? Please help.

I see that you are experiencing print quality issues on the printer, I'd recommend you follow the steps from the document Fixing Poor Print Quality to isolate and resolve the issue.
Additionally, Update the printer firmware
Download available firmware updates from the HP website
With the printer on and connected to the computer, go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, and then identify your printer. Look for and install any available firmware updates. Refer to the document HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware
