After upgrading my PC ro Windows 8.1 Pro Preview, the print function of my OffcieJet 6110 has stopped working.

Is there a new driver for Windows 8.1?

Hi mhbar1,

I hate to hear you are having issues.  Unfortunately since this operating system is still in testing and has not been released a new driver has not been released.  However for this unit the drivers for Windows 8 and beyond are in-OS only.  We should simply be able to update or remove and add the 8.1 version to get print functionality back.  Please see the steps below that may resolve the issue.  If you would like to learn more about your product, Click Here.

Update to new driver:

1. Go to print and device folder

2. Right click on printer icon

3. Select print properties

4. Click on the advanced tab

5. Click new driver, next to driver with the print name displayed

6. The add driver wizard will open

7. Select HP under manufacturer, then select the Officejet 6110 from the printers list

8. Click next

9. Click finish

10. Click apply

11. Click OK

Remove and add driver:

1. Remove device

2. Power on both printer and computer

3. Connect USB cable to printer

4. Connect USB cable to computer

5. Computer will install latest in-OS drivers

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the reply as this helped me get a driver installed that prints.

The only difference is that the driver that worked is "HP Officejet 6100 Class Driver".

Unfortunately, I'm having same issue as mhbar1. I also installed the HP 6100 Class driver. I can print, but the printer after each print job and at several random times during the day/night prints extra pages with the following:

GET /DevMgmt/ProductConfigDyn.xml HTTP/1.1

HOST:

GET /DevMgmt/ProductConfigCap.xml HTTP/1.1

HOST:

I've removed/reinstalled/rebooted several times to no avail. This is the only driver that seems to print, but I get these random printings that waste a bunch of paper.

Any help would be appreciated. Status on updated driver for Windows 8.1? Everything worked fine under Windows 8.

Thanks,

Zach

Hi zaills

The classic driver is the Windows preinstalled driver.

I don't see any drivers on the webpage but they have the HP Printer Install Wizard for Windows. You could try running it.

Win 8 64 bit.

Win8 32 bit.

I would sign up for the HP driver updates. When they are available you will be notified by email.

I have the same problem with windows 8.1
With "HP Officejet 6100 series" doesn't work.
And with "HP Officejet 6100 Class Driver", print extra pages with the next:

GET /DevMgmt/ProductConfigDyn.xml HTTP/1.1
HOST:

GET /DevMgmt/ProductConfigCap.xml HTTP/1.1
HOST:

Hi Shevchenko,

Have you tried running the HP Printer Install Wizard it was created to help Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1 users download and install the latest and most appropriate HP software solution for their HP Printer.

There are no updated drivers yet, so I suggest running the PIW to get the software and drivers that you need.

Let me know if this was helpful.

Thank you,
