We have a new OfficeJet Pro 8620 that we just set up in a remote office. The user connects via vpn and rdp to another desktop in our network. When we connect he cannot print. I installed the drivers on both the local and destination computer. The printer prints from both computers as well. But through RDP the print job gets sent to the local computer and drtops, and I get a Windows error 372, Print Service: "
The document Remote Desktop Redirected Printer Doc, owned by xxx, failed to print on printer HP Officejet Pro 8620. Try to print the document again, or restart the print spooler.
Data type: RAW. Size of the spool file in bytes: 285662. Number of bytes printed: 131072. Total number of pages in the document: 1. Number of pages printed: 0. Client computer: \\LOCAL_PC. Win32 error code returned by the print processor: 2147500037. Unspecified error
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers and the printer on both the local and remote computers and that didn't work. I found this: http://h20195.www2.hp.com/v2/GetDocument.aspx?docname=4aa0-8465enw&404m=secure-erc
It seems to imply that the 8600 series needs a different kind of driver but I can't find the driver it needs.
Any help would be appreciated.

You can fix this issue by installing the Laserjet 6980 driver on your print server as an additional driver for your printer.

Welcome to the HP Community Forum.
Fifteen years ago I knew a bit about this subject - useless. Smiling. Unfortunately, Of those drivers offered in the Citrix doc, I dont know which, if any, would be useful for this series.

You do have a nice printer at that remote office that supports ePrint.
HP Officejet Pro 8620 e-All-in-One Printer
Have you considered using ePrint for remote printing needs?

I have exactly the same issue. This was working fine for months and now suddenly i get the exact error you posted: Win32 error code returned by the print processor: 2147500037. Event 372.
I have tried the following to no avail:
- Factory reset the printer
- Downloaded latest Win7 driver for the client laptop
- Loaded that same driver on the Server 2012
- Reset the wifi connection on the router.
- Updated FW on the router
- Changed to a different Wifi SSID on the printer
- Changed the Wifi IP address on the printer to static
- Deleted the Driver Pkg on the client through MMC Printer Management
Logic eludes me on this one. ANY help is appreciated!

I contacted support via chat and they were are useful as a chocolate teapot. They kept blaming the VPN setup and would not accept my argument that the identical setup worked on a previous model printer.
I tried to escalate, and was advised to use ePrint as a workaround (waste of time). I cannot say whether my complaint was escalated to the software team responsible for the drivers.
If you do open a case with HP, please point them to this thread. The more people that join the party, the more that they will have to take notice.
Good luck - let us know if you ever find a workaround or fix.

I contacted support after my post above. I was told that HP Officejet support line does not support printing from a server. I explained that in essesnce it was local printing, because the print job actually shows up on the Win7 RDP Client and fails on that machine. I produces a Windows printing event 372 and has very specific error codes.....but, alas, they categorize it as a server print job.
I also had this working just fine ON THIS SAME LAPTOP for several months before it quit printing last week. I was told by support that the issue was "environmental" and was "mine to solve".
Poor support, me thinks.
After more than 6 hours on this issue, we have decided to drop $79 and get TerminalWorks TSPrint. I downloaded their 30 day trial and was printing in less than 5 minutes. Money well spent. http://www.terminalworks.com/remote-desktop-printing
