Hi @Angel2510,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand how frustrating it is when your printer’s options and supply details disappear after a macOS update. Here’s how to restore functionality for your HP LaserJet Pro MFP M28w on macOS 15 Sequoia:

1. Remove HP Vendor Drivers

Apple has deprecated the old HP system extensions, which can cause menu options to disappear. Removing them resolves conflicts:

  1. Go to System Settings → Printers & Scanners.
  2. Right-click the empty printer list (or click the three-dot menu) and choose Reset printing system.
This will delete all current printer configurations.

2. Reinstall the Printer Using AirPrint

Your M28w fully supports AirPrint, which is the preferred method with Sequoia and avoids driver issues:

  1. Click the + in Printers & Scanners.
  2. Select your printer from the list.
  3. Under Use, choose AirPrint (not “Generic PostScript”).
  4. Click Add.

This restores printing functionality using built-in macOS support.

3. Restore Supply Status and Options

Once added via AirPrint:

  • macOS will show the printer’s Supply Levels and Options again.
  • You’ll regain access to settings like duplexing or paper size, depending on your printer model.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
