up to about a week ago our HP Printer would scan to email also.  It seems to send the email but it does not arrive at the chosen email address.  I've tried removal the devise and reconnecting but this hasn't worked.

Hi @Lillian001,

When encountering issues with the Scan to Email feature on the HP ColorJet MFP E78625, where the emails are not arriving at the intended address, here are some steps you can take to resolve the problem:

  1. Check Email Server Configuration:

    • Ensure that the SMTP server settings in the printer's Embedded Web Server (EWS) are correctly configured. This includes the SMTP server address, port, and any necessary authentication credentials.
    • Verify that the SMTP server you're using is capable of sending emails from the printer.
  2. Network Connectivity:

    • Confirm that the printer is connected to the network and the network is functioning correctly. You can do this by checking if other network-related functions work properly on the printer or by accessing the printer’s EWS.
  3. Email Address Verification:

    • Double-check the email address to which you are sending the scan. Ensure that it is correctly typed and that there are no spaces or errors in the email address.
  4. Check Spam/Junk Folder:

    • Sometimes emails may end up in the recipient's spam or junk folder. Check these folders to ensure the email was not automatically filtered.
  5. Email Size Limitations:

    • Check if there are any size limitations set on the email server that might be preventing the email from being delivered.
  6. Firewall and Security Settings:

    • Ensure that firewall or email security settings are not blocking emails sent from the printer. You might need to whitelist the printer's IP address or the email it sends from on your email server.
  7. Scan Settings Configuration:

    • Review the scan settings on the printer to ensure they are set correctly for use with email.
