I cannot get my P1102w to connect wirelessly to my home network.  Had to switch routers.  Was unable to get it to connect after that.  The 802.11b/g Wireless Status = Disabled, Communication Mode = Infrastructure.  How can I enable the Wireless so I can connect it to my network?

First you would need to restore default wireless settings.
1. Turn the product off.
2. Press and hold the wireless button and the cancel button, and then turn the product on.
3. Hold the buttons until all the lights blink in unison, and then release the buttons.

Second, you will need to plug in a USB cable from the printer to the computer in order to re-connect back to the wireless.
1. Connect the wireless product to the computer through a USB cable.
2. Click the Start button, and then click the Programs or All Programs menu item.
3. Click the HP menu item, and then click the HP LaserJet Professional P1100 Printer series menu item.
4. Click the Wireless Configuration menu item.
5. Follow the onscreen instructions to configure the product to print on a wireless network.

Holding down the buttons and resetting the wireless settings reenabled the wireless, but when I run the HP Wireless Configuration utility, I end up with the error:

"The printer was able to successfully connect to the wireless network using the wireless credentials provided.  However, this computer is unable to communicate with the printer.

Please verify that the printer is on the same network as this computer and, if using WEP, verify that the credentials were entered correctly and try again."

The computer (though hooked up via cable) is definitely on the network and I used the exact same credentials I used for the printer that I've used with a half dozen other devices which all work fine.

The printer self test/configuration returns the following:

Network Info

Host Name: NPI8B818E

Hardware Address: 68:B5:99:8B:81:8E

(Everthing else is zeroed out)

Wireless:

Status: Enabled

Mode: Infrastructure

Authentication and Network name are both correct.

This sounds like the router you are using has a firewall on it that is preventing the printer from being able to be contacted by the computer. I would contact your router provider and make sure that the firewall on the router has the appropriate ports open to allow the two to communicate.

Let me know if that information helps!

Thank you.  I recently had to reset my router and use a new network name .  This resulted in my wireless printer not working.  After trying many things that i found on other sites i tried this solution which finally worked.  Thank you   Thank you  Thank you ...
