Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

Powering off the printer, detaching it from the computer, powering it back on and reattaching it to the computer makes no change.

Can the printer print a self test print?

How is the printer connected?

USB or ethernet?

If USB, check your cable connections and make sure they're seated fully. Try deleting and reinstalling the printer driver.

If ethernet/network connected: It's probable that the printer's IP address has changed from the original install, especially if the printer or router has been powered off/on or reset as that will usually cause the printer to get a new IP address assigned to it.

Option 1: You'll have to find out what the current printer's IP address is and set it in the printer driver to match, or if you can find out what the printer's network host name is - you can set that in the printer driver port settings and never have to worry about a changing IP address again.

Option 2: Delete and reinstall the printer driver. Don't turn off or reset your printer or router so it keeps the same IP address.
