LaserJet M605
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I've installed the latest Universal PCL 6 Driver (6.7) for a LaserJet M605 & M602 printer and when I try to print I get the following error instead.

PCL XL error

  Subsystem:  KERNEL

  Error:  MissingAttribute

  Operator:  SetHalfToneMethod

  Position:  4

I've updated the Firmware of both printers and still get the error.  I have not been able to find any information on the error.

What application are you printing from?  XL errors can be generated by Microsoft Applications that do not have all service packs installed.

We are printing from Office 365 but it is up to date with patches.

Fixed this error by swapping the drivers from the Universal PCL 6 driver to the model specific drivers for the M605 and M602.  Now we have a problem with an old LaserJet 4100 and 4050.  Neither of them will print correctly when using the Universal PCL 6 driver (6.7).  The queue is setup to default to legal paper in Tray 2 but every time a job is sent to them the printer looks on Tray 1 for letter.  There are no HP model specific Windows 10 drivers available for these printers.  Any idea why this is happening?
