HP LaserJet Pro 200 color Printer M251nw

Hi-

Recently several layers of paper got stuck in my HP LaserJet Pro 200 color Printer M251nw and, whilst trying to pull it out of the rear door, small pieces got stuck in the roller. I can't reach for these with my fingers or tweezers and I tried advice to roll a piece of laminated paper through the printer to unlodge them but I couldn't push it through. I don't know if the printer is covered by a waranty but it would be really useful if there were a department to open from which paper could be easily unlodged from the roler before trying this route.

Thank you everyone for your help in advance!

Hi Ochie,

Sorry for the long delay before the community reply.  It is quite an interesting question.  IF the roller you are describing is the fuser and several pieces of media got wrapped around the fuser and cooled, the toner sort of freezes the paper to the fuser and it is virtually impossible to get it off.  If it is media in the paper path and is not triggering a jam message, that media won't hurt anything in the back of the printer (I don't suspect it is in a duplex path since you say you have an nw) and will often come out with another print later as the rollers move with the next print jobs.  You can also reach some of the rollers via the other door in the media path, but it is more difficult.  Finally, as a note to others that might be reading the answer - please remove JAMS slowly holding both sides of the media and pull evenly.  Hope you're printing perfectly again, Dovid
