When I print an 8x10.5 document, two consecutive blank sheets follow the printed page. The second sheet results in a paper jam. What can I do to correct the problem? Any thoughts will be appreciated.

Have you tried selecting the correct paper size to print?

 

Have you tried checking with a different brand paper?

 

Try few steps recommended below.

 

Make sure that the carriage can move freely

Clear any jammed paper from the cartridge access area

 

Follow these steps to remove any jammed paper from the cartridge access area.

  1. Open the cartridge access door.

  2. Locate the cartridge access area.

  3. Gently remove any jammed paper and bits of torn paper from the cartridge access area. To avoid tearing any whole sheets of paper, pull the paper with both hands.

    NOTE: 

    Use a flashlight to thoroughly check for torn pieces of paper that might remain inside the printer. If any torn pieces of paper remain inside the printer, more jams are likely to occur.

Also, try updating the printer firmware and check if it helps.

If the issue still persists after trying out the steps. It is a hardware issue with your printer.

Thank you for your response. Nothing in your post solved my problem. After uninstalling and reinstalling the HP Photosmart 6520 Series Driver, I successfully executed a Print Page. However, blank sheets of 8X10.5 paper continued to feed until there was a jam. I have always used Vitality Premium 24 lb multipurpose paper without any issues until my recent problems.

As I mentioned in my previous thread, it sounds like a hardware issue with the printer.
