I have been searching for the last couple days for a general name or part number for a part that I need to have replaced for one of my printers. I know its part of Tray 1 paper input assembly, I can't seem to get a partname and/or number. All the parts list or exploded parts diagrams I have looked at do not say anything about this specific part. I have attach an exploded diagram of the feed assembly and circled the exact part that is needed in orange.  the existing one is peeling and causing the paper not to feed. Any ideas what it is called or a part number?

So far a dab of super glue is holding. I tried to put enough to cover the entire underside of the Electrical tape looking stuff, but not too much that it oozed out the sides. I also placed a small piece of masking tape on it to hold it in place while the glue dried. I suppose I could have just used the masking tape to begin with, but it looks better as the original part.

that looks like the tray 1 separation pad, the top part of what you circled will just pry off, you dont need the whole piece

The pad (or part that is peeling) will pry off/up with a small screwdriver, looks like there are no steps in the user guide on how to replace this part, but it's fairly simple to replace- if you need further assistance just PM me

I was wrong. This is actually a different part. You probably will have to order that whole assembly. Typically when there is no part number or identifier- it is considered a non-orderable part. So you have to get the whole assembly. I actually went out to my recycle heap to verify.

Your other option would be to just try and remove that felt and electrical tape looking stuff and remove all the adhesive and see if stuff would still feed. The part you identified is spring loaded and raises your stock up to get it to the feed roller and separation pad.

Apologies

You are correct that is not the seperation pad, but the sprind loaded lift thing. I actually ordered a seperation pad thinking it was this part. A good mstake in my case, because the actual pad on the seperation pad was gone and need to be replaced anyway. Since the seperation pad has been replaced media feeds through as long as I get it placed close enough to hold the peeling part in place. I will try to put a dab of glue behind the electrical tape looking stuff and see if that holds. If it does not I will try to peel it off, before replacing the entire feed assembly. In the mean time I hope someone can point me to just the need part.
