HP M118dw
Chrome OS

Hi

Newbie question.

My new M118 printer will not connect via WiFi to my Plusnet Hub One router.

My Chromebook prints to the printer correctly via a USB cable.

My iOS devices and smart TV connect to the router via WiFi.

I have placed the printer next to the router.

Is there a way to set up the router through the browser and its IP address to tell it to add the M118?

Advice will be gratefully received, thanks.

You can find the user guides and setup manuals here https://support.hp.com/ca-en/product/hp-laserjet-pro-m118-m119-series/21996892/manuals

Quick steps, if your router supports WPS and the name suggests it does. Press the WPS button on the router and then poress and hold the wireless button on the printer for at least three seconds and then release. the wireless and ready LED should blink and once the process is done the wireless LED will stop blinking.

Thank you for your reply.

Yes, I have done that several times now, but the flashing blue light on the printer and the flashing orange light on the router continue to flash until they time out. The printer and the router were less than one meter apart the last time I tried this, just in case it had initially been due to a distance/weak signal issue.
