Print Density Option, how actually does it work ?

Hello, 
Print Density Option , How does it Works ? 
Does it increase heater , or just pump in more ink ?
because I'm worried if it can damage the heater if I set it to +5 for too long.
If it just increase amount of ink printing , then this is not an issue for me.

You don't need to bother about a theory of operation for increased density it will not damage your printer.

When density is set to higher than a default, in process of creating an image on a drum ( that is part of toner cartridge)  more toner dust is applied on the same spot just like you said it increases the amount of toner ( ink).

The only thing you will empty your toner cartridge sooner if you increase print density, but you will not hurt printer.

Hi I would like to assist to the best of my ability to solve your problem.I hope the information i supply will be of help.

If you change the density of the print it will only use more toner.It will not affect the fuser unit settings at all.The fuser unit settings only change when using different types of paper.Hope this answers your question.
