Laser Jet Pro MFP M227sdn

Can you please help me? I have a Laser Jet Pro printer connected via a USB port to my pc. It is not networked. I have a very annoying problem. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the printer many times via drivers downloaded from the web. This has not solved the problem which is as follows. I want to print a word document or similar in portrait mode. I confirm that the orientation is portrait per the document.

However, if the printer settings within the printer setup is landscape, then the document prints in landscape mode.

In simple terms, all documents are printed in accordance with the orientation per the printer configuration and not as it should be, in accordance with the document configuration.

Please help. I have spent hours trying to fix this problem without success. Thanks very much.

I would suggest you try the Windows built-in drivers. Follow the steps below:

 

•    Go to Control Panel - Devices and Printers - Click on "Add printer" and follow the on-screen instructions.

•    When the page prompts for the drivers, select "Windows update". The driver list will be updated.

•    Click HP, Hewlett Packard, or Hewlett-Packard in the Manufacturer pane, and then click the name of your printer in the Printers pane.
