macOS 15.0 Sequoia

I have a HP LaserJet 700 M712. For some reason on my older Mac OS X 10.6.8, I am able to print multiple of the bigger sizes like Tabloid and 12x18. Those are options available when I go to print. But my newer Mac OS Sequoia 15.0 does not have those options when I go to print. How do I fix this? I would be so nice to print directly from my newer Mac since I use it every day/more than my old one.

Hi @cimarronsp

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I understand that your HP LaserJet Enterprise 700 M712 prints larger paper sizes such as Tabloid (11 x 17) and 12 x 18 from your older Mac running OS X 10.6.8, but those paper size options are missing on your newer Mac running macOS Sequoia 15.0. This is typically caused by the printer being configured with a generic AirPrint driver or an incorrect PPD (PostScript Printer Description), which limits the available paper sizes.

Create Custom Paper Sizes:

  • Load the custom paper into the main tray and adjust the paper width guides.
  • Open your document, then go to File > Print.
  • From the Paper Size  menu, select Manage Custom Sizes.
  • Click the + sign to add a new paper size. Double-click the default name and enter a unique name for your paper.
  • Set the width, height, and optionally, the non-printable area, then click OK.
  • In the print preview window, select your custom paper size and click Print.
