After attempting to do a factory reset following procedure "Turn the printer off, hold down the wireless button and cancel (x button) while turning the printer back on and don't release the two buttons until the printer stops making noise." I find that the printer has an IP of 0.0.0.0 and, because it's stuck to Manual IP, the printer can't be used over WiFi.
Is there a way to FULLY reset the NVRAM, so the IP configuration will be DHCP?
Thanks

Hello all,
I know this thread is very old but I guess my post would help someone in the same situation (and I hope Kenshifurio did not trash his printer).
I had the exact same problem that @kenshifurio had and tried everything he tried without success. However, following the suggestion made by @davidzuts, I ran the setup file I had downloaded a couple of weeks ago which turned out to be the same one he shared
And the following steps helped reinstall my printer (HP Laserjet P1102W) on the network (with an IP address assigned and the "IP configured by" set to DHCP.
STEPS:
After running setup and choosing to ADD ANOTHER PRINTER and then SELECTING my printer series from the list:
1. I chose the the first of three (3) options it gave me (configure a printer to print over the wireless network) and then
2. Choose ADVANCED (Enter wireless credentials manually) on the Wireless Discovery Method window
3. Choose a wireless network SSID from the list it would display. It should list your SSID if your WLAN is turn on and discoverable. You also have an option to ENTER YOUR SSID MANUALLY. Then click NEXT
4. On the Wi-Fi Protected Setup window, Choose the 2nd (second) option: I DO NOT WANT TO USE WI-FI PROTECTED SETUP. I WANT TO ENTER THE WIRELESS CREDENTIALS MANUALLY (perhaps the first option would also work if your router supports WPS; but I did not try that).
5. Enter your network passphrase (WPA/WPA2) on the next window: Wireless Credentials and click NEXT
And that's it! Your HP P1102W should be back on your WLAN

The product is not communicating with the wireless router or
access point.
● Verify that the wireless light is on. If it is not on, press
the wireless button.
● Move the product closer to the wireless router or access
point, and then try again.
● Restore the default wireless settings.
a. Turn the product off.
b. Press and hold the wireless button and the
cancel button, and then turn the product on.
c. Hold the buttons until all the lights blink in unison,
and then release the buttons.
If the error persists, uninstall the product, and then re-run the
installer program. When prompted for network settings,
provide the settings, and then continue the installation.

It's stuck to Manul IP mode. What part of what you described is supposed to fix this? Also, the procedure you described to reset default wireless settings was the source of the problem as it resets everything EXCEPT the IP configuration mode, which remains stuck to manual.

Read the instructions. What you said you did is not the same as the instructions I copied for you. You said you waited until all noises stopped where the instructions are to wait for all lights to cycle. Perhaps what you did had some effect on the network settings I can not really say. The last thing to try is to remove the printer and then use the software that came with the printer with it being connected via usb to have the wireless information put back into the printer. If you do not have the cd then use the link below:

I already did everything you describe, even before coming here as a last resource. I've waited until the printer stops making noise, counting 15 seconds after that and other permutations.
Also, the connection with the computer has nothing to do with this. I want to revert the printer to its factory settings. I can see the settings from the device configuration page, which is printed by the printer. The field "IP Configured By" is now Manual, when the original factory setting should be something like "DHCP" or Automatic.
Therefore my question was, is there a way to COMPLETELY revert the settings to factory or is this a bug in the reset procedure.

If the waiting until the lights cycle do not work, there is nothing else as there is no restore factory defaults or NVRAM reset in the service manual. Only suggestion is to connect with a usb cable and run the software package which should enable you to enter the wireless settings. I assume you tried what you thought was a factory reset to correct an issue you were having. Maybe the issue you were having is the wireless network card has malfunctioned or something else has happend. Acutally I stand corrected. In the service manual the reset are the exact instructions I gave you in my first post. The only thing they added was to wait about 10-15 seconds aftere turning on until the lights cycle and then release. No where does it say to wait until the startup noises stop. Maybe you are releasing to soon or to late and the reset is not happening.

I was having no issue. My network was changed from Class C to Class B before I could change the printer's IP manually. I did not care much because 99.99% of wireless devices out ther offer a way to reset network settings to default.
To revert to network defaults, I originally followed the HP agent's recommendation in: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/LaserJet-Printing/p1102w-stuck-on-quot-IP-Configured-By-manual-quot-how...
Turns out that was a terrible idea, as this appears to be a bug in the reset procedure after all, per http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/LaserJet-Printing/Problem-with-install-Laserjet-P1102W-Ad-Hoc-can-not-s...
I do not have access to my original 2009 CD, though, so I'm probably screwed. Thanks for your time, though.

I do not know your printer but just trying to help. Have you maybe thought of upgrading the firmware of the printer to the latest version which may allow you to configure the wireless settings with the download software. Since you can connect using usb you should be able to update the firmware with the usb. If that does not work, perhaps you can contact on of the posters to the older threads you was able to solve the issue with the 2009 cd and maybe he can upload the cd so you can download it or at least the program from the cd which allows for the configuration of the wireless card.
