I cannot figure out how to turn off the manual duplex option.. it is very frustrating. I have gone through all of the settings.Anyone else have an issue with this and have a resolution?

So just to verify, it isn't automatically duplexing all the jobs sent to it, it's asking you to load the paper back into the machine for the second side to print?

I would check the driver.

On your computer, go to:

Control Panel

Devices and Printers

Right Click the Print driver > go into printing preferences

Go to the "finishing" tab

Under Document Options make sure "Print on both sides" is unchecked.

If it is, It'd be nice to know which software you're printing from, does it happen from any application on your computer, and if you're using the HP Universal print driver, or the Model specific print driver.
