Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I am using Word 2016 and the M477. When printing I get a one character horizontal dash 1.25 inches from the left margin and spaced vertically 7/8ths from one another down the left side of the page. The same issue occurs when making a copy or using other software including printing emails etc.  I have used the cleaning utility on the printer, restored factory settings, restarted the printer numerous times, confirmed I am using HP printer cartriges and changed the paper. In addition, I have printed the same document on another HP printer with no such problem.  The issue ocurred after a year of printing with no such problem.

Hi HustonTX,

It appears that your magenta toner cartridge is most probably faulty. Replacing it with a new or a known good working one will fix this issue.

I hope this will help,

Cheers!

so I am assuming this happens with your new trail insert cartridges since, I have warrety replaced my printer since the last one was doing the same thing but had other problems and now my new one is doing the same.  So your telling me I need to go out and purchase a new 99.00 cartridge to fix this issue when I have ink in the current new printers cartridge.
