Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Hello, I am getting Service Error 29, on HP Laser Jet M402n, I already turned on and off the printer and nothing. I keep getting the same error. I also unplugged the wires for more than one hour, plugged them back in, turned it on and I am still getting the same error. Please help.

most likely a corrupt print job is stuck in your print que. Will the printer power up and get to a ready state if you only plug in the power cord? Check this first. leave the network cable out and only use the power cord. restart the printer and see if it will boot to a ready state. If it does, go to the reports and print a config report so you can verify the current firmware version.

 

If you can do all that, plug back in the network cable. If the error immediately return, you have a corrupt print job in your print que. delete all pending print jobs and restart the pc. download the latest firmware and push it.

 

Make sure PDF's are not trying to print from Microsoft Edge. Set your default PDF program to something else, pref adove DC reader.
