HP Officejet Pro 8620 e-All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

A few days ago my printer started not printing. The connection is through wifi. The status first says printing and then changes to "error status". I have restarted laptop, router and printer several times trying doing it in different order. Run the troubleshooter several times - internal test page prints fine, otherwise nothing. Have installed the latest driver and restarted. Printing from another laptop prints fine. This is a completely new error which has not happened before; otherwise the printer very often goes "offline" for which restarting computer/router often helps. This is enfuriating as well.

The laptop with the problem is HP ENVY TS 17 Notebook PC. The one without is Asus,

I am at the end of my tether. Please help.

@Freia,

Thank you for posting on HP Forums,

The Barachiel is at your service.

I understand you are in need of support,

I'll be glad to help you out. 🙂

Follow this link https://hp.care/2CZ8BiL and run HP's print and scan doctor. If that doesn't work, then

I recommend you delete the driver and root level and retry, follow the steps below:

In Windows, search for and open Programs and features

2.) Select your HP Printer

3.) Select Uninstall

4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers

5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’

6.) Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo.

7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)

8.) Click on the “Drivers” tab

9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom

10.) Select Ok

11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows

12.) Close Devices and Printers

Dear Barachiel,

1000 thanks for this! The second option - complete removal of driver and reinstalment according to the guidance finally did it!

Thank you!
