Hi

My printer does not print a complete A4 page.  It prints like an A5 size in the top middle.

I'm sure its a setting as if I print to the same printer from another laptop it prints fine.

Printers have settings and your specific print job has settings, you want to make sure they match. It sounds like your print job is sending A5 and your printer is expecting A4.

Printer settings:Go to printers and scanners, click your printer, manage, printer preferences, paper/quality, ensure paper size is A4, apply. go to the effects tab, resizing options should probably be actual size, apply.

Job settings:depending what program you are printing from the menu/navigation will be different but the general idea still applies. open a job in microsft word, page layout, size, is the document properly sized?. now press ctrl+p to print, before you hit the print button what do your job settings look like? is the right paper size selected.

I can't speak to your exact situation but balance your printer settings and job settings to get the desired output.

I have done all this, all the settings everywhere are A4 and still the printer is printing in A5 size on A4 paper, either at the top right hand corner or in the middle.

Excel and photos are printing fine, also selections from web pages. It is just Word documents which have the problem, so clearly it must be an issue in the settings SOMEWHERE!!!

I have only had the printer two days! I've never had this problem with any other printer!

I say you say above to go to the "effects" tab. That is the only thing I haven't tried, but I don't know where this tab is??
