Hi @bmoving,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP LaserJet Pro 3201dw shows the printer status as Paused and is not printing. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.

Unpause the printer in Windows
Open Settings > Printers & scanners and select the LaserJet Pro 3201dw.
Open the print queue, click Printer, and make sure Pause Printing is unchecked.

Check for “Use Printer Offline” status
In the same Printer menu, confirm Use Printer Offline is not selected.
If enabled, the printer will stay paused and not receive jobs.

Restart the Print Spooler service
Open Services, locate Print Spooler, and restart it.
This clears stuck states that can force the printer into pause mode.

Power reset the printer
With the printer powered on, unplug the power cord from the printer and wall.
Wait 60 seconds, reconnect directly to a wall outlet, and turn the printer back on.

Clear pending print jobs
Cancel all documents in the print queue before retrying.
A stuck job can keep the printer paused.

Set the printer as the default printer
In Printers & scanners, select the LaserJet Pro 3201dw and set it as default.
This prevents Windows from pausing the printer due to routing conflicts.

Remove and re-add the printer
Remove the printer from Printers & scanners and restart the computer.
Add the printer again to refresh the connection and status.a

I hope this helps.
