Our printer is printing at random times, and the only thing on the page is either get_config or get_version, this becomes a waste of paper after a while and this is been happening for a year or more. Please advise!

Unfortuntely this did not solve the issue the printer is setup correctly. I work for my company's IT Helpdesk, this issue is not something that we have come accross before. Could this be a firmware issue?

Follow this link and update the firmware of the printer.

Sorry this still did not solve the issue. Could it be that we went from a Windows7 computer to a Windows 10? Thanks!

Thanks for the response.

I recommend you delete the driver and root level and retry, follow the steps below:

1)In Windows, search for and open Programs and features

2) Select your HP Printer

3) Select Uninstall

4) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers

5) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’

6) Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo.

7) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)

😎 Click on the “Drivers” tab

9) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom

10) Select Ok

11) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows

12) Close Devices and Printers

Once done, Follow this link and try installing the full feature driver software. 🙂

Keep me posted,

I only see HP Update in the list of programs. Should I uninstall that? I'm running Win10. Could there be a firmware update? However, the weird thing is I have a HP LaserJet CP2025 and a HP LaserJet CP1525nw doing the same thing. Thanks!

Also these are network printers not local printers. Thanks!
