I have a Colorjet pro Mfp m477fdw and it has been saying calibrating for the longest. Printer is 6 months old. I cannot copy nor scan because of this issue. If someone has had this issue please help.

It is calibrating either the image sensor or color alignment. Issue can be caused by a poor or defective toner cartridge or failed sensor. As you state the unit is only six months old it should still be under warranty and you should contact technical support.

Try a Power Reset to eliminate a possible logic or power issue:
First, make sure the printer is plugged straight into a wall outlet and not a power strip, surge protector or UPS.
With the printer plugged in and powered ON, disconnect the power cord from the printer. This will hopefully dissipate any electricity stored in the printer that could be causing a problem.
Wait at least 30, preferably 60 seconds.
If you don't have an actual ON/OFF switch, press and hold the power button for about 10-15 seconds a couple of times in the beginning just to be sure it tries to drain the power fully. Make sure any other cables, other than power, are removed when you try to power it up again.
If there is a power switch, turn it to the OFF position.
Plug the power cable back into the printer.
Turn the printer ON with the power switch.
If it still runs a calibration for a long time after powering up, you probably do have a bad toner cartridge. which one though is hard to say. Were any of them close to empty? If so, that's probably the one.
