Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Looking to purchase a laser color printer that requires the user to enter s security code when MAKING COPIES or printing from a pc.

There are a lot of factors such as expected print volumes and number of users that could affect any recommendation. The general answer is any HP Enterprise Laser Printer can be configured to require login information as long as that model uses FutureSmart  5 firmware. Models you can look at include

 

Laserjet 5800dn

Laserjet X57945 

 

The two above units are very similar. The 5800 is considered a transactional (sold at stores like Staples) while the X57945 is sold my HP Partners who offer service and support. Additionally the life span of the X57945 is longer as consumables like the waste toner bins are replaceable.

 

The smallest model would be the M480, however I would discourage purchase of that unit as cost per copy is much higher than the first two models mentioned and the life rating of the device is 50K pages
