Hi @Wandabrown,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Thank you for sharing the image. I can clearly see the printed page showing:

400. The server cannot process the request because it is malformed. It should not be retried.

This is an HTTP 400 Bad Request error, which means the printer tried to process a web-based request (likely related to HP app, Instant Ink, or Web Services like ePrint), but the request was invalid or corrupted.

Why This Happens

  • HP Web Services (ePrint, Instant Ink, Cloud Print) are enabled, but the printer cannot communicate properly with HP servers.
  • Network or DNS issues are causing malformed requests.
  • The HP app or firmware is outdated.

Steps to Fix

  1. Restart Printer and Router
    • Power off the printer and router for 60 seconds.
    • Turn them back on and reconnect the printer to Wi-Fi.

  2. Disable and Re-enable Web Services
    • On the printer control panel or HP Smart app:
      • Go to Settings → Web Services → Remove Web Services.
      • Then enable Web Services again.
    • This refreshes the printer’s connection to HP servers.

  3. Update Printer Firmware
  4. Check HP App

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
