HP LaserJet M110w 

An error occurred and I will be unable to print except printer reports.

I understand your HP LaserJet M110w stopped printing and is showing a message that it can only print printer reports. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this and get it printing again.

Check the exact error message on the printer
Look at the printer control panel or HP Smart app for any specific error code or blinking light pattern.
This helps confirm whether the issue is firmware, network, or supply related.

Power reset the printer
Turn the printer off and unplug the power cord from the wall.
Wait 60 seconds, plug it directly into a wall outlet, and turn the printer back on.

Confirm paper and toner status
Open the paper tray and make sure paper is loaded correctly.
Check that the toner cartridge is properly seated and not empty.

Verify printer connection status
If using Wi-Fi, confirm the blue wireless light is solid or blinking normally.
If connected by USB, reconnect the cable directly to the computer (no hub).

Check printer status in HP Smart
Open HP Smart on your computer or phone.
If it shows Offline, Paused, or Attention Required, clear the status and try printing again.

Restart the Print Spooler (Windows only)
Restart the computer, then try printing a simple test page.
This clears stuck or corrupted print jobs that can block printing.

Remove and re-add the printer
In HP Smart or Printers & Scanners, remove the LaserJet M110w.
Restart the computer, then add the printer again using HP Smart.

Print a report vs. print job comparison
Since printer reports print successfully, the hardware is working.
This usually indicates a software, driver, or connection issue, not a printer failure.
