P2055
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I've got the network printer HP laserjet P2055 it won't get out of initializing right after the start up.

It starts and you can hear it make a sound for about 2 seconds. I've tried the hardreset like the other posts.

Checked for jammed papers.

Something worth mentioning is that the last page that was "muddy". Looks like ink has been leaked from the printer.

I read somthing about a the fuser and that this is the problem. I kinda need to solve it now and changing the fuser might not be a quick soulution since no shops where I live/work sell the component (HP RM1-6405-000cn)

Thanks alot in advance.

All I can suggest is to have only power connected to the printer and try the NVRAM reset in the attachment and see if you get further.  Usually if you do not get to an error or other message on the display you are having an issue with the formatter.

I will mark this post as solved since the ones who use it had use of more functions and was already looking at a new printer.

I just ran into this issue at a customer site.  I performed the NVRAM reset but there was no change. I ran an engine test but nothing printed. I was able to test the formatter in another model the customer had onsite and it works fine. Base on this I ordered an engine controller board.  I will update you when it comes in.

So did that work? I'm having the same issue. Stuck on "Initializing...". I replaced the Fuser and the Formatter board and tried the NVRAM reset, still no change.
