HP color laserjet pro MFP 3301cdw

I have been trying to get this printer to stay awake. I have changed all settings in the menu to never fall asleep.  I have auto shutdown turned off, with sleep turned to its maximum.  The printer will fall asleep, and when I push the power button, the button will light up, but the screen will stay off.  It is still asleep.  The only way I can get it to work is to press the power button again shutting it off, then  turning it back on.  This adds 5 min to a simple 1 page print job when ever I need it.  Is the printer broken in that it will not fully wake from sleep?  Sending a job to the printer in this state will only give printer is offline error.  Everything else I have tried also fails.  

Very disappointed that I got a lemon of a printer. 

I am on the latest firmware.  6.28.1.47-202603112313
