i have a laser jet pro MFP M426fdw at work and have for many years. It has been creating a black line to the left of each page when printing. I have done the self clean and can not get it to go away. I have also cleaned the glass.  Please advise.

Also, it wont allow me to choose printers or the issue/tip..

most common causes are bad cartridge and fuser issue

Remove the toner cartridge and examine the blue drum on the bottom. If you see toner on the drum that corresponds to the defect on the page then you need make sure that there is no debris stuck in the cartridge causing toner to dump out. use the edge of a piece of paper to scoop out the debris. if that fails try another cartridge. If the defect is not smooth and you can rub off the black line then the fuser is probably bad.

Always try a different cartridge first before replacing other parts and make sure to print at least 50 pages to clear up accumulated toner.
