Hello @Puloy ,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

I'm sorry to hear that you've forgotten your admin password for the HP M880 printer. Unfortunately, if the printer is asking for the admin password even in an attempt to reset, the process can become more complex.

Here’s a general approach you can try:

  1. Check for Default Credentials: Sometimes, printing devices have default admin passwords. Refer to the device manual or online documentation to check if there is a default password that you can use.

  2. Contact HP Support: For such circumstances where you're locked out due to a forgotten password, the best course of action is to contact HP support for assistance, as they can help with recovering or resetting the password.

  3. Reset through the Service Menu: If you have service access, some administrators open a service menu which might have more extensive reset options, but this often requires special service codes or access provided by HP.

Unfortunately, if these steps don’t help resolve the issue, you'll likely need to secure direct support from HP, as they are best equipped to handle such sensitive security features.

Hope this works for you!
