HP PageWide Pro 577dw Multifunction Printer

I own an HP PageWide Pro 577dw Multifunction Printer. When the Y and C inks got finished, I packed it for a while. I recently turned it on to replace all the inks with fresh genuine Hp INKs and  immediately I turned it on, I started seeing this error even when the inks hadn't been replaced yet. I have replaced the inks, the printer calibrated and recognized the inks but the error message "Problem with Print System. Printing functionality is disabled. Please contact HP. Error code: 0xc6fd0713"  pops up on the screen and seizes the entire printer's functionality from printing, scanning or copying.
I read about unplugging for a min, I tried it never worked, when I press the power button to shutdown, "shutting down message appears and forever it will never shutdown, when I press and hold the power button for more that 30sec, nothing happens. I have tried to update the printer firmware but it wasn't successful. When I connect LAN cable it doesn't work (still stays unplugged) but Wi-Fi works.
I need your assistance with this error code and what it mean. Can you assist me with you expertise on how to fix this problem please?

Hi @Chiptech_it

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you!

The error code 0xc6fd071 that you're encountering on your HP PageWide Pro 577dw Multifunction Printer typically indicates a problem with the printer's print system that may require further troubleshooting or service. Here’s what you can consider doing:

Troubleshooting Steps:

  1. Restart the Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug the power cord, wait for about 60 seconds, and then plug it back in and turn it on.

  2. Check Firmware: Ensure that your printer's firmware is updated to the latest version. You can check for firmware updates on the HP support site.

  3. Perform a Hard Reset:

    • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the printer and the wall outlet.
    • Wait at least 60 seconds.
    • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet and the printer.
  4. Inspect the Cartridges: Re-seat the ink cartridges to ensure they are correctly and securely installed. Clean the electrical contacts on the cartridges and inside the printer if necessary.

  5. Factory Reset: As a last resort, you might consider performing a factory reset on the printer. Be cautious that this will restore the printer settings back to default and might delete any saved data.

  6. Contact HP Support: If the problem persists after trying the above steps, it's advisable to reach out to HP Support for specific troubleshooting steps or possible service options. The printer's warranty status can affect available service options.

I hope this helps!
