M477FDW
macOS 10.15 Catalina

Hello everyone, I'd like to tell you that is a serious-fun post.

I have the M477FDW Printer, really good until one day stopped working well.

I have iMac 21.5 with Catalina and I have with my wife two iPhone 11-12-7 and one friend with iPhone 6s.

Everything with AirPrint worked well... until the "shame" day.

the one is working well is the 6s with iOS12.

So I read all post in this forum: turn off printer-check firmware-check software-push 30 seconds power button after removing electrical plugin ... everything and...

... PRINTER STILL SAYS: "going to print document", but after 1 hour still going to print document.

As i know it's a really expensive printer, and this still doesn't work as high end printer. It look like a broken low end printer.

So, what's are my options? what are your considerations? What should i do?

HP: tell me, it's your way of doing business?

PS:
I know, from my warm heart inside: SELL IT or the cruel side... throw away from 6th floor.

Not all blame for issues is solely at HP's feet. It is often a struggle for developers to keep up with Apple's constant changes and new restrictions to how vendors equipment can be configured with Apple OS. That said, there is documentation that shows how you need to configure things to get them to work with Apple.

Start with this article: https://support.apple.com/en-ca/HT211921, while not exactly the same issue, it may address the problems you are having. Also installing the most current HP printer drivers or trying Apple generic PS drivers might help.
