HP NP252DW Color LaserJet

Using the HP NP252DW LaserJet, pictures embedded in MS Word are cut off on right and bottom.  Resizing with a picture tool changes the amount cut off but it is unpredictable how much resizing is necessary.  With multiple pictures on the same page or on multiple pages, it is such an annoyance and totally unacceptable.  In some cases I have used the "re-size" handles in MS word to make them fit where I want them.  Than just messes the printing up even more.  I have the latest driver and software. 

  I read through a thread on these forums for DeskJet printers with the same issue.  Their work-arounds are cumbersome and not very professional and annoying (did I mention that before?).

  NOW GET THIS HP:  I also have a monochrome Brother HL-227DW laser printer and have NEVER had a problem with it.  What I see in the document is what I see on the printed output.  No special cutting/pasting special/external resizing required.  WHY CAN'T THE HP PRINTERS WORK LIKE THE BROTHER LINE OF PRINTERS? 

 

Printing the same page on both printers:  The Brother printer works fine.  The HP will not print correctly as it appears on the print preview.

 

So what's is the answer?

I recommend you delete the driver and root level and retry, follow the steps below: 

  

1) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features 

2) Select your HP Printer 

3) Select Uninstall 

4) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers 

5) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’ 

6) Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo. 

7) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe”

😎 Click on the “Drivers” tab 

9) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom 

10) Select Ok 

11) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows 

12) Close Devices and Printers.

 

Now, download and install the full-featured software from here.

 

Update the printer firmware

Download available firmware updates from the HP website

With the printer on and connected to the computer, go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, and then identify your printer. Look for and install any available firmware updates.

Try printing.
