I am having issues where my printer will print multiple pages of symbols instead of my document.  I chatted with an agent 5 days ago who thought they had it fixed, but since it doesn't happen all the time, it only worked for a day.  I am waisting a lot of paper with this issue.  

 

I have tried unplugging it while its turned on. And then the rep had me try pushing two buttons for a few seconds. I am working from home and 3 kids doing school at home. I need my printer. 

 

I have a mac so the print doctor is not available.

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the printing issue. 

 

To better assist you - 

 

1) Are you experiencing this while making a copy as well? 

2) What's the application you are trying to print from? Have you tried printing from a different application or devices? 

3) How's the printer connected - wired or wireless? 

 

While you respond to that, let's try these steps -

 

1) Take out the cartridges. 
2) Unplug the power cord from the printer & wall. 
3) Wait for 30 seconds.  
4) Plug the power cord back into the printer and wall, ensure the printer is plugged into the wall & not to a surge protector. 
5) Insert the cartridges back into the printer.
