Whenever I try to print pdf documents in duplex (although ocasionally have same problem printing a single page) the first page doesn't print and on the following pages most of the lines get blacked out from the right edge in to about the middle of the page.  I haven't noticed the problem with documents in other formats, but I consistently have problems with pdf's, and I have no problems printing the pdf's to my other printers.

Do other programs (word, etc) duplex normal?

If so, it sounds Adobe specific, if not I would reinstall the printer driver software.

Hello

Did you try to reinstall the driver and the software?

That's a good start since the issue is not happening from another application.

let me know how it goes ; )

Does PCL 6 sound right?  I'm not sure how to tell what driver I'm using.

It is the regular PCL6 or Universal Print Driver PCL6?

Also, what application are you using to open PDF?

The regular PCL-6.  I'm using Adobe Acrobat Reader DC.

Got it

Ok, go to hp.com/go/upd and download the UPD PCL6 and reinstall it.

Also I recommend to reinstall the PDF app.

Yes, the duplex printing works fine in Word.  I believe you're right that it is an Adobe issue.  I just tested duplex printing of a pdf using Edge and it printed fine.  I don't like Edge however, so I guess I'll have to continue troubleshooting with Adobe.  Thanks for your help.  You were right on!
