Problems with output bin on how m4555 printer

My hp LaserJet m4555 is in error it tells me to close the front stapler door or reattach/stacker. At the beginning when I proceed like the image shows the error passed. But now. The error remains.

When the staple door is closed a small tab presses on a micro switch to tell the system the door is closed. Chances are either the door is not latching properly or the tab is broken. You can test by activating the switch with a folder paper or thing item like an emery board. That the error clears at first suggests that the switch is functioning.
