M252DW
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I recently bought a LaserJet M252DW (of course just over 30 days so I can't return it...), but every time I print, the first 2-3 pages always have a discolored strip down the right hand side. The more pages that print, the more the color goes to normal.

After a few moments of downtime the color will return. It seems consistent with whatever the right hand portion of the print out is, regardless of where that is on the page.

If I print something that is 1/2 page, there is roughly a 1" stripe that is off color down the entire page... If I print something full page, its about 2" down the whole right hand side of the page.

I could really use any help on resolving this issue.

If it's magenta it's a toner cartridge if it's purple then it would be more than one cartridge.

That sounds like a defective toner cartridge, when you say purplish do you mean magenta?

If it is a defective toner cartridge in a new printer you should be able to contact HP support for a replacement.

Look for the contact hp link on the support page for your model on hp.com.

Well, it could be a toner problem honestly, but this problem does "fade away" as the printing continues over multiple pages, and then comes back as soon as it goes to rest. Is this thought the same? This might be the toner cartridge?

I can take a picture later as to the issue, but purple is the primary problem I see... it depends on what I am printing though, so it is possible that the cartridge is just causing different color variations based on the other blended colors that should be going with it?

It looks like... the yellow cartridge isn't working right actually... I printed some test pages and the yellow definitely fades out on the right side of the page noticeably. It must have been mixing colors and the lack of yellow was causing purple in the images I have been printing.
